Submissions will be accepted at any point throughout the year, but will not be considered until after the deadline passes.
The deadline for Issue VII submissions is April 1, 2017.
ACCEPTED SUBMISSIONS
All submission lengths refer to double-spaced pages, in Times New Roman size 12.
Research: Original research, or work in a larger research project (with the consent of the project director). May include honors theses, or interesting term-papers. Submission limit of twenty-five pages.
Study Abroad Experiences (Junior Ethnographies): Write-ups of study abroad experiences. May include cross-cultural comparisons, can resemble an ethnography. Submission limit of fifteen pages. Inclusion of photos is recommended.
Field School or Internship Experiences: Write-ups of field school or internship experiences. Discussion of the site or project, what the research goals are, what was discovered that particular season. Submission limit of fifteen pages. Inclusion of photos is recommended.
Photos: Any outstanding pictures related to anthropology have a good chance of being included in publication. These can be from study abroad experiences, or travel.
WHO CAN SUBMIT
Only submission of work written as an undergraduate will be considered for publication. After graduation, submissions will be considered for up to one year.
All current undergraduate students are invited to submit previously unpublished material.
SUBMISSION FORMAT
Submissions should be Microsoft Word documents (.doc), attached via e-mail. An abstract should be included at the top of the paper. The subject of the e-mail must read “Journal Submission.”
The submission should include a cover page which includes the following information: Age, year at school, major and a short biography. Submissions should be double-spaced.
CITATION STYLE
Authors are expected to follow Chicago, AAA or APA formatting. Guides can be found online.
